Editorial policy
What we publish. News about changes in AI governance, analysis, playbooks, research, roundtable recaps, and clearly labeled opinion.
Sourcing. Every Wire item links to a primary source. Secondary reporting is labeled as such.
Independence. Supporters have no influence over what we cover or how. The funding page lists every organizational supporter. Contributors disclose relevant relationships.
Corrections. We correct errors promptly, mark the piece, and log the correction publicly.
Right of reply. Organizations that are the subject of critical coverage, an Index score, or an attestation concern are invited to respond before publication where practical and always after.
AI assistance. We use AI tools in research, drafting, and editing, including a daily watcher that reads official sources and drafts proposed updates for the editor; every piece says how. Short news items can be written and published automatically from a primary source: the system writes only from the text of that source, checks every quote, number, and date against it, links it, labels the item as automated, and the editor reviews automated items after publication; corrections are logged publicly. Automated checks also look for changes to the laws and standards in the Crosswalk and for new ones; a change to an entry or a new entry is applied only after the editor has read the source and approved it. Analysis, playbooks, research, and opinion are never published without a named person approving them. Final responsibility for every published word is human and named.
Images. We label AI-generated or AI-edited images and keep their Content Credentials.
