Write for the Commons
The Wire publishes short news items, analysis, playbooks, research, and opinion from practitioners, lawyers, academics, students, and policy staff. You keep your copyright and license your piece under Creative Commons so it can travel. We edit for clarity and sourcing, we do not pay for coverage and we do not accept paid placement, and every piece carries the author's disclosure line.
Typical pieces: a Wire item on something that changed (300 words, same day), an analysis piece (1,200 to 2,000 words), a playbook (how to do one thing, with templates), or a research note.
To apply, send three things: who you are, what you want to write, and your disclosures.
